The Renault AHN was France's standard medium truck of the late 1930s and the early years of the Second World War — a capable and widely used military transport that served with the French Army in 1940 and was subsequently captured and operated by German forces alongside the many other French vehicles that fell into Wehrmacht hands after the armistice. The AHN in German service carries a particular poignancy — France's own trucks being used to supply the occupation of France — and it adds an interesting and less commonly modelled logistics subject to any Western Front or occupation scenario. ICM's 1/35 kit of the AHN-2 variant covers this important French truck type in accurate period detail.
