The G917T Truppenluftschutzwagen was the German Army's light anti-aircraft truck — a standard military truck chassis fitted with a platform and mount for light AA weapons to provide mobile anti-aircraft protection for units on the march or in the field. With Allied air power becoming increasingly dominant from 1942 onwards, these improvised and purpose-built AA vehicles became essential to the survival of German columns and supply routes, and the variety of weapons fits and truck chassis used reflects the Wehrmacht's characteristic improvisation in meeting operational needs. ICM's kit covers this practical and historically significant support vehicle type in 1/35 scale.
