The B-26G was the final production variant of the Martin Marauder, incorporating all the progressive improvements that had transformed the aircraft from its early notorious reputation into one of the most effective medium bombers in the USAAF's inventory. French Air Force Marauders are a particularly interesting and less commonly modelled subject — France operated the type extensively from North Africa and Italy, and the Free French Marauder crews played a significant role in the Mediterranean air campaign. The combination of American airframe and French markings provides a visually distinctive and historically meaningful set of options for the dedicated modeller.
The final Marauder in French colours — the B-26G serving the Free French forces who helped liberate their own country.
