ICM’s Ancient Warriors acrylic paint set (3068) brings together a themed selection for scale-model, figure and diorama painting.
Painting your subject
Ancient warrior figures often place polished or worn metal beside leather and brightly coloured cloth. This selection puts metallic shades at the centre of the palette, supported by red and brown. It is an appropriate starting point for painting armour, weapons and equipment on historical figures rather than assembling each colour individually.
Included colours and finishes

On the workbench
Mix each paint thoroughly before use and build up the finish in controlled, thin layers. Check colour choices against the instructions and references for your particular subject. Test any thinner, varnish or weathering product on a spare piece before applying it to your finished model.
