The Ghost of Kyiv: Ukrainian Air Force paint set
ICM's The Ghost of Kyiv acrylic set brings together five paint colours and one satin varnish for Ukrainian Air Force modelling projects. Set 3027 is recommended on the packaging for use with ICM kit 72140, The Ghost of Kyiv.
Five colours plus a finishing varnish
This is a six-item set, not six paint colours. The included satin varnish provides a finishing option alongside the five selected shades.
- 1028 — Offwhite
- 1033 — Sky Grey
- 1034 — Dark Sea Grey
- 1037 — Dark Grey
- 1038 — German Grey
- 2002 — Satin Varnish
The story behind the name
The Ghost of Kyiv became a widely shared legend during the opening phase of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Rather than a verified account of one individual pilot's victories, the name came to symbolise the courage and collective efforts of Ukrainian fighter pilots defending their country.
This set takes its theme from that symbol of Ukrainian aviation. Use your model's painting instructions to determine the placement of each colour and the finish required for your chosen aircraft.
