Italeri 1/48 Hurricane Mk. IIc (2726)

The Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc was the cannon-armed ground attack variant of Britain's first monoplane fighter — four 20mm Hispano cannons replacing the earlier marks' rifle-calibre machine guns to produce a devastating strike platform for anti-shipping, tank-busting, and close air support missions. By 1942 the Hurricane Mk.IIc was operating across North Africa, the Western Desert, Malta, and the Far East, where its rugged Merlin-engined airframe and ability to absorb considerable battle damage made it a firm favourite with pilots flying in punishing conditions far from well-equipped maintenance facilities. At 1/48 scale, Italeri's kit rewards careful construction with crisp cockpit detail, accurately profiled cannon wing bays, and the characteristic exhaust stacks and air intake that distinguish the Mk.IIc from earlier variants. A must-have for RAF and Commonwealth aviation modellers.
