The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk is the US Army's primary utility helicopter and one of the most capable and versatile military rotorcraft ever built — a twin-engine design that replaced the UH-1 Huey in frontline service and has since become the backbone of American air assault capability across every theatre of operations from Grenada to Afghanistan. The "Night Raid" boxing focuses on the Black Hawk in special operations configuration, with the subdued markings, additional equipment fits, and low-visibility finish that characterise helicopters operated by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment — the "Night Stalkers" — whose highly modified MH-60 variants conducted the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound in 2011 and countless other classified missions. Italeri's 1/72 kit captures the UH-60's distinctive four-blade main rotor, wide fuselage, and external stores pylons with accurate detail and dramatic night operations marking options.
