The Lockheed L-10 Electra was one of the defining airliners of the 1930s — a twin-engine all-metal monoplane that set new standards for speed and passenger comfort on short to medium routes. Polish national carrier LOT operated the Electra from 1936, flying it on European routes until the outbreak of war in September 1939 brought commercial aviation in Poland to an abrupt end. The PLL LOT Electra is a rare and elegant interwar subject, representing a brief golden age of European civil aviation before the conflict that changed everything. Karaya’s 1/144 kit captures the aircraft’s clean twin-tail silhouette and period LOT livery in miniature.
