The F/A-18C Hornet is the backbone of US Navy carrier aviation — a multirole strike fighter that has carried out everything from fleet defence to precision ground attack since the 1980s. VFA-27 “Royal Maces” is one of the US Navy’s oldest and most decorated strike fighter squadrons, operating from USS George Washington as part of Carrier Air Wing Five at Atsugi, Japan. Kinetic’s 1/48 kit captures the C-model Hornet with the distinctive single-seat cockpit and twin-engine layout, with decals for the Royal Maces’ colourful tail markings.
There is wear on the box - See photos. Kit is complete and un-started. Instructions and decals are present.
