The Avia Ba.33 was one of the Czechoslovak Air Force’s frontline biplane fighters of the late 1920s and early 1930s, representing the country’s growing ability to design and produce competitive military aircraft independently. With a clean radial engine installation and good performance for its era, the Ba.33 served alongside licence-built foreign types as Czechoslovakia built up its air arm between the wars. The Czechoslovak Air Force markings variant covers the standard operational aircraft in the blue and white national roundels of the period — the definitive Ba.33 modelling subject.
