The Yokosuka D4Y Suisei — Allied reporting name “Judy” — was the Imperial Japanese Navy’s primary carrier-based dive bomber from 1942, replacing the obsolescent Val with a much faster and more capable aircraft. The Mk.12 (D4Y1) was the initial production variant, powered by an Aichi Atsuta liquid-cooled engine based on the Daimler-Benz DB 601. The Judy saw action from Midway onwards, serving aboard carriers including Shōkaku and Zuikaku, and proved fast enough to outrun many Allied fighters — though its speed advantage disappeared when it was caught without its bombs.

Box shows signs of age related storage - see photos. Instructions and decals are present. There is a tube of glue in this kit, but I doubt it is any good.
