The Yokosuka K5Y — Allied reporting name “Willow” — was the Imperial Japanese Navy’s standard intermediate trainer for over a decade, produced from 1933 and still serving in large numbers at the war’s end. The K5Y2 was the float-equipped seaplane variant, used for training naval pilots in water operations. Robust, forgiving, and simple to maintain, the Willow trained the great majority of IJN pilots who flew in the Pacific War — making it one of the most historically significant Japanese aircraft of the period despite never firing a shot in anger. A charming vintage kit of a genuinely important subject.

Box shows signs of age related storage - see photos. Instructions and decals are present, but the instructions have some biro pen marks on them. There is a tube of glue in this kit, but I doubt it is any good.
