The French Cuirassiers were Napoleon's elite heavy cavalry — big men on big horses, armoured in steel breastplate and backplate, armed with straight sabres and carbines, and deployed at the critical moment of battle to break infantry squares or pursue a broken enemy. They charged at Austerlitz, Wagram, Borodino, and Waterloo, and their silhouette — the gleaming cuirass, the horsehair-plumed helmet — is one of the iconic images of the Napoleonic era. Master Box's 1/32 scale figure captures the Cuirassier in full campaign dress with the sculptural detail that the scale affords: armour, uniform, and equipment of one of the most visually striking soldiers in military history.
