Bastogne in December 1944 was one of the decisive engagements of the Battle of the Bulge — the besieged American 101st Airborne holding the town against determined German assaults in some of the worst winter conditions of the entire European campaign. For the German infantry attacking the perimeter, the conditions were no less brutal: inadequate winter clothing, a supply situation that was deteriorating by the day, and an objective that refused to fall. Master Box's 1/35 scale German Infantry Bastogne set captures soldiers of this period in the winter field dress and equipment of the Ardennes offensive, a necessary counterpart to the American Bastogne release for anyone building the complete engagement.
