The summer of 1941 was the high-water mark of German military power — Operation Barbarossa had launched on 22 June, and by July and August the Wehrmacht was advancing into the Soviet Union at a pace that seemed to confirm every calculation the German high command had made. "Hot Summer 1941" captures German infantry in the conditions of that campaign: the dust, the heat, and the rolled-up sleeves of men marching east in temperatures that made the previous western campaigns feel like exercises. Master Box's 1/35 scale figure set depicts soldiers in the field dress and equipment of the early Barbarossa period, a versatile set for any Eastern Front 1941 diorama.
The summer that changed everything — Master Box's 1/35 German Infantry, Hot Summer 1941.
