The Austin armoured car was one of Britain's most widely used wheeled armoured vehicles of the First World War, built on a standard Austin touring car chassis and fitted with twin rotating turrets mounting Vickers or Maxim machine guns. The Mk IV was the most refined version of the design, with improved armour protection and mechanical reliability. Austin armoured cars served on the Western Front, in Russia with the Imperial forces, and across the Middle East. Master Box's 1/72 scale Mk IV captures the vehicle's distinctive twin-turret configuration and angular armoured body, making it a neat companion piece to the Mk III in the same series.
