The Avro Lancaster is Britain's most celebrated bomber of the Second World War — the aircraft that carried the Dambusters on Operation Chastise, dropped the Tallboy and Grand Slam earthquake bombs, and delivered the majority of Bomber Command's strategic payload against Germany from 1942 to 1945. Its distinctive long fuselage, four Merlin engines, and massive bomb bay capable of carrying a 22,000lb Grand Slam make it unmistakable. Meng's mEgg series captures that iconic silhouette in compact chibi form, the four engine nacelles and greenhouse cockpit rendering beautifully in the playful proportions of the series.
