The Panzer 38(t) was a Czech design pressed into German service after the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939 — reliable, well-engineered, and superior in many respects to Germany's own Panzer I and II at the outbreak of the war. It formed a significant portion of the German armoured force in Poland and France, and the chassis went on to underpin some of the most important German AFVs of the war, including the Hetzer tank destroyer. Meng's World War Toons captures the Panzer 38(t)'s compact, boxy profile and distinctive suspension in adorable chibi form. A lesser-known subject that rewards the collector who looks beyond the Tigers and Panthers.
