The Shenyang J-15 Flying Shark is China's carrier-based fighter — a heavily modified derivative of the Russian Su-33, equipped with folding wings and a strengthened undercarriage for carrier operations, and capable of carrying a wide range of air-to-air and air-to-surface weapons. Operating from Liaoning and Shandong carriers, the J-15 represents the sharp end of China's developing naval aviation capability. Meng's mEgg series captures the J-15's swept-wing profile and canard foreplanes in compact chibi form, the folded-wing configuration immediately suggesting its carrier home. Snap-together, paint-optional.
