The Combatant Craft Heavy (CCH) Sealion is a US Naval Special Warfare Command vessel designed for long-range maritime special operations — inserting and extracting special operations forces in hostile or denied environments where conventional naval assets cannot operate covertly. Built around a deep-V planing hull for high speed and seakeeping in rough conditions, the Sealion carries a suite of navigation, communications, and weapons systems that allow it to operate independently at extended range. Relatively few details of its operational use are in the public domain, which itself reflects the sensitivity of its mission profile. MikroMir's 1/144 kit offers modellers a rare opportunity to build one of naval special warfare's most specialised surface vessels.
Special operations at sea — one of the most classified small craft in US Navy service, in 1/144 scale.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Unless otherwise stated these models will need some construction and painting. Glues and paints are not included.
