MiniArt 1/35 British M3 Lee (35270)

The M3 Lee arrived in British service at a moment of crisis — the summer of 1942, when Rommel's advance had pushed the Eighth Army back to El Alamein and the loss of the Western Desert seemed a real possibility. The Lee's 75mm sponson gun gave British armoured units their first credible answer to the German Panzerkampfwagen III and IV at medium range, and despite the tank's obvious limitations — high silhouette, sponson-mounted main gun, and riveted construction — it bought time until the Sherman arrived in numbers. MiniArt's kit captures the British-service M3 in 1/35 scale with the accuracy and detail the subject deserves: a tank that helped save the Eighth Army and rarely gets the recognition it earned.
The tank that held the line at Alamein — British M3 Lee in 1/35 scale.
