American combat engineers used armoured tractors equipped with dozer blades for some of the most dangerous work of the Second World War: clearing beach obstacles under fire during amphibious landings, bulldozing routes through rubble in urban fighting, filling anti-tank ditches, and opening paths through minefields ahead of advancing armour. The angle dozer configuration — blade offset to push spoil to one side — was particularly useful for clearing routes without blocking them, and the armoured cab gave the operator a measure of protection against small-arms fire and shell fragments. MiniArt's kit captures this essential piece of combat engineer equipment in 1/35 scale, a subject that adds real operational depth to any engineer or assault diorama.
