The Vickers E Mk.B — the single-turret variant of the famous Vickers 6-ton — mounted a single 47mm gun in a spacious rotating turret, giving it significantly greater anti-tank capability than the twin-machine-gun Mk.A it accompanied in export catalogues. Poland acquired the design and produced it domestically as the 7TP, which became the best tank in the Polish Army in September 1939. The Soviet Union licence-built it as the T-26, which became the most numerous Soviet tank of the early war period. Bolivia used it in the Chaco War, the most intense land conflict in South America in the 20th century. The Vickers E Mk.B is, by any measure, one of the most consequential tank designs in history — its influence was felt in combat on three continents. Mirage Hobby's 1/35 kit captures the original Vickers single-turret design in authentic form.
