The Renault UE 2 with UK trailer combines two of the most practical pieces of French Army logistical equipment in a single set, giving modellers and diorama builders a complete supply team in one box. The UK trailer — a simple two-wheeled cargo trailer designed specifically for towing behind the UE carrier — extended the carrier's practical payload significantly, allowing it to supply forward infantry positions with ammunition, fuel, and rations in quantities that the carrier alone could not manage. This combination was widely used by French forces before 1940 and subsequently by the Wehrmacht with captured vehicles, making the set applicable to a wide range of modelling scenarios from the French campaign of 1940 to late-war German rear-area operations. Mirage Hobby's 1/35 kit captures both vehicle and trailer in full detail at the scale where the UE's compact proportions are most satisfying to model.
