The TKS was Poland's standard tankette in September 1939, a small two-man vehicle that served as the primary reconnaissance armoured vehicle of the Polish Army. A small number were upgunned with the 20mm FK A wz.38 autocannon — and these cannon-armed TKS proved capable of destroying German Panzers at combat ranges, with one crew under Chorąży Edmund Roman Orlik famously destroying 13 German tanks in a single day near Sochaczew. The MG15 designation here refers to the standard machine-gun armed variant, which formed the majority of Poland's tankette strength. The transport trolley included in this set was used to move tankettes by road without wearing the tracks, adding an important and rarely modelled piece of Polish military equipment alongside the vehicle itself.
