The Renault UE in its transport role with fuel trailer represents one of the most practical uses of this ubiquitous little carrier — moving fuel forward to armoured and motorised units in the field, where the ability to do so without exposing supply personnel to direct fire was a genuine operational advantage. The UE's low profile and tracked mobility made it capable of crossing terrain that wheeled vehicles could not manage, and the addition of the trailer significantly extended its payload capacity for this logistics role. The configuration captured here — carrier with fuel trailer — was used extensively by both French forces before 1940 and by the Wehrmacht afterwards, and is a natural choice for diorama builders working on supply, maintenance, or field logistics scenes from any theatre where either nation operated.
