The Fist of War series from Modelcollect presents an alternative-history vision of the McDonnell Douglas A-12 Avenger II — imagining the aircraft as it might have appeared had the programme survived cancellation and entered US Air Force service. Based on the real-world A-12's revolutionary flying-wing delta design, developed for the Navy as a low-observable carrier strike aircraft, this "what if" interpretation extrapolates the type into an operational USAF configuration, complete with speculative markings and livery. It's a compelling fusion of genuine aerospace history and creative alternative history, built on a foundation of authentic engineering detail.
