The Eurocopter Tiger is one of the most capable attack and reconnaissance helicopters in NATO service — a Franco-German collaborative development that entered service in the early 2000s with the French, German, and Australian armies. Its appearance in GoldenEye (1995) gave it arguably its most famous screen moment: the Tiger that Bond steals from a Russian airbase and uses to survive the electromagnetic pulse that destroys everything else at the facility. The film’s production used the real aircraft in a role that leaned heavily on its futuristic appearance and advanced systems — it looked plausible as a machine capable of surviving an EMP, which added considerably to the scene’s credibility. Revell’s Gift Set includes paints, glue, and a brush alongside the 1/72 kit, making it a complete self-contained build for Bond fans and aviation enthusiasts alike.
The helicopter that survived an EMP — the GoldenEye Tiger in 1/72 scale.
