On 13 June 1944, Villers-Bocage in Normandy became the setting for a fierce clash between British armoured forces and German Tiger tanks. The action remains one of the most discussed armoured engagements of the Normandy campaign. Rye Field Model’s 1/35 Tiger I Late Production, Battle of Villers-Bocage Limited Edition (RM-5101), offers a distinctive subject for a Normandy vehicle display or diorama without losing sight of the people and terrain around the tank.
A Tiger I linked to a pivotal Normandy encounter — late-production armour in 1/35 scale.
