The Beriev Be-8 was a Soviet light amphibious flying boat developed in the late 1940s, used for coastal patrol, liaison, and experimental work — a compact, twin-boom aircraft produced in small numbers that represents a transitional moment in Soviet maritime aviation between the piston era and the jet age.
