The Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet was the world’s first operational rocket-powered interceptor — a tailless, swept-wing aircraft of extraordinary speed and equally extraordinary danger, as much to its own pilots as to the Allied bombers it attacked. The C variant was a projected development of the B-series with improved cockpit and aerodynamic refinements that never reached production before the war ended. Special Hobby’s “What-If War” boxing explores the operational possibilities of the Me 163C in an alternate timeline where the type reached service — a speculative but technically grounded subject for modellers who enjoy the experimental and the hypothetical alongside the historical.
