Tamiya's 1/48 combination kit pairs the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 — the long-nosed Dora, widely regarded as the finest German piston-engined fighter of the war — with a Citroën staff car in the markings of JV44, the elite unit formed by General Adolf Galland in the final weeks of the war and staffed with some of the Luftwaffe's most decorated and experienced pilots. The combination of the Dora's elegant Junkers Jumo 213A inline engine cowling, the distinctive JV44 markings, and the period Citroën creates an immediate and evocative airfield vignette potential straight from the box.
