The Hawker Hunter is arguably the most beautiful British jet aircraft ever built — a swept-wing transonic fighter that entered RAF service in 1954 and went on to serve with over two dozen air forces across the world. Fast, responsive, and supremely elegant in the air, the Hunter excelled as a ground attack aircraft after its replacement as a front-line fighter, and continued flying with some air forces well into the 1990s. The Red Arrows flew Hunters before switching to Hawks; Swiss and Indian Hunters saw combat decades after their RAF debut. Lindberg’s 1962 kit captures the Hunter at the peak of its RAF service.
This is a vintage kit from 1962, and it shows signs of its age - see photos. Kit is complete and un-started. Instructions and decals are present.
