HMS Westminster F237 is a Type 23 Duke-class frigate — one of the Royal Navy’s versatile front-line surface combatants, equipped for anti-submarine warfare as the primary mission with secondary surface and air defence capability. The Type 23 class was designed specifically for the Cold War anti-submarine mission in the North Atlantic, and its quiet CODLAG propulsion system makes it among the stealthiest conventional warships in service.
