The Sturmgeschütz 38(t) — assault gun based on the Czech 38(t) tank chassis — was one of the many self-propelled gun variants produced on this highly adaptable platform, combining the reliable and compact 38(t) running gear with a fixed casemate superstructure mounting an artillery piece for direct fire support of infantry. The 38(t) chassis spawned a remarkable range of vehicles including the Marder, Hetzer, and Grille, making it one of the most prolific and versatile German armoured vehicle platforms of the war. UM Models’ 1/72 kit captures this casemate assault gun variant in the compact scale suited to diorama use.
