The North American T-6 Texan — known as the Harvard in British Commonwealth service — was the standard advanced trainer of the Allied air forces throughout the Second World War, used to teach thousands of pilots the skills they would need before transitioning to combat aircraft. The camouflaged scheme applied to some Texans reflects wartime operations in theatres where trainer aircraft were exposed to potential air attack, or the use of the type in light attack and counter-insurgency roles post-war. In 1/144 scale, Valom’s kit captures this iconic trainer in compact form, ideal for multi-aircraft training school displays.
