The Percival Prince was a twin-piston-engine light transport and survey aircraft of the early 1950s — a clean, low-wing monoplane used by the RAF, the Royal Australian Air Force, and a range of civilian operators for communications, VIP transport, and aerial survey work. The RAAF operated the Prince on transport and survey duties in Australia and the region, and the type’s combination of modest performance and practical cabin made it a workhorse of post-war light transport aviation. Valom’s 1/72 kit captures the Mk.3 in RAAF markings — an unusual and appealing choice for collectors of Commonwealth air arm subjects.
