The Wirbelwind was Germany's answer to Allied air superiority — a quadruple 20mm Flakvierling 38 mounted on a Panzer IV chassis in an open-topped rotating turret. Produced in small numbers from mid-1944, it served on both fronts providing mobile anti-aircraft protection for armoured formations. Academy's 1/35 scale kit captures the distinctive turret structure and Panzer IV hull with authentic markings for multiple vehicles. A rewarding build with impressive visual presence at this scale.
