The Churchill Mk.III tanks of the Calgary Regiment were landed at Dieppe on 19 August 1942, where most were quickly immobilised on the shingle beach — a catastrophic raid that nonetheless yielded hard lessons for future Allied amphibious operations. AFV Club's 1/35 kit captures the Mk.III in its Dieppe configuration with specific markings for tanks that went ashore that day. A historically specific and sobering subject for British armour collectors.
