Airfix 1/72 Consolidated B-24D Liberator (A09011)

Explore two memorable USAAF bomber subjects with the Airfix 1/72 Consolidated B-24D Liberator, kit A09011. The four-engine heavy bomber's long wings, deep fuselage and twin-fin tail give it an unmistakable presence, making it an appealing centrepiece for a Second World War aviation display.

This release includes markings for B-24D-25-CO 'Lady Be Good', 41-24301, of the 514th Bomb Squadron, 376th Bomb Group, at Soluch in Libya in March 1943, and 'Hell's Belle', 41-24290, of the 400th Bomb Squadron, 90th Bomb Group, at Iron Range Airfield in Queensland, Australia, in mid-1943. The two subjects offer distinct settings for your build, from North Africa to the Southwest Pacific theatre.

The kit contains 258 plastic parts and is rated at Airfix skill level 3. It offers an involved assembly and finishing project for modellers who enjoy larger multi-engine aircraft, and a companion to the separately released B-24H rather than another boxing of the same variant.

Manufacturer: Airfix; scale: 1/72; kit reference: A09011. The box contains the plastic model kit, instructions, painting guide and decals. Assembly and painting are required, with glue and paints supplied separately.
