The Nakajima C6N1 Saiun (Painted Cloud) was the Imperial Japanese Navy's dedicated carrier-borne reconnaissance aircraft, fast enough to outrun most Allied fighters it encountered over the Pacific. Its performance led the Allies to assign it the reporting name “Myrt.” Aoshima's 1/72 kit captures the Saiun's clean, elegant lines with authentic IJN markings. A lesser-known but historically important subject for Japanese naval aviation collectors.
