The Bf 109D “Dora” was a transitional variant bridging the Jumo-engined early marks and the DB 601-powered Emil, serving primarily during 1938–39 with Luftwaffe units and seeing limited combat in Poland. AZmodel's 1/72 kit captures the Dora's distinctive Jumo 210 engine cowling with authentic early Luftwaffe markings. An important and often overlooked link in the Bf 109 development chain.
