The Bf 109E-1 was the initial production Emil, entering service in 1938 and equipping the Condor Legion in Spain before forming the backbone of the Luftwaffe fighter arm at the outbreak of war. AZmodel's 1/72 kit covers the E-1 in the markings of leading Luftwaffe experten, with decal options for multiple high-scoring pilots' aircraft. An essential early-war subject for Bf 109 and Luftwaffe ace collections.
