Das Werk's 1/35 2cm Salvenmaschinenkanone SMK 18 Typ 2 (kit DW35005) represents the twin-barrel automatic anti-aircraft cannon developed for German Luftwaffe ground defence in the late 1930s. The SMK 18 used a synchronised dual-feed mechanism to deliver a high rate of fire against low-altitude targets, and saw limited deployment at airfields and key installations. Das Werk's kit captures the mechanical complexity of the mount in fine detail, with a decal sheet and comprehensive assembly instructions included.
