The M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) is a wheeled, air-deployable multiple launch rocket system that has become one of the most strategically significant weapons of the 21st century. Mounted on a 5-ton FMTV truck chassis, it fires the same GMLRS guided rockets and ATACMS ballistic missiles as the tracked MLRS but with greater strategic mobility. HIMARS gained global attention during the 2022 Ukraine war, where it proved devastatingly effective against Russian logistics and command nodes. This ForeArt 1/72 kit (2006) captures the HIMARS's distinctive pod-launcher on its six-wheeled chassis.
