The de Havilland Hornet was the fastest piston-engined aircraft ever to serve with the RAF — a twin-Merlin long-range fighter capable of 472 mph, developed from the lessons of the Mosquito. The F.Mk.3 was the principal single-seat land-based variant, serving with Fighter Command from 1946 and later with Far East Air Force during the Malayan Emergency, where it flew ground-attack sorties against guerrilla positions. This vintage Frog 1/72 kit (F239) captures the Hornet's beautifully sleek fuselage and the distinctive elliptical wing shared with its Mosquito ancestor. Presented in film-sealed packaging.

This is a vintage model kit. Box shows signs of age-related storage — see photos. The film wrap is on three sides and both ends. There has been old tape applied to hold the film on. Kit appears unopened, but please look at the photos carefully.
