Frog 1/72 Heinkel He219 Owl Night-Fighter (F177)

The Heinkel He 219 Uhu (Owl) was the Luftwaffe's most capable dedicated night fighter of World War II, featuring tricycle undercarriage, ejection seats, and Lichtenstein SN-2 radar as standard. On its operational debut in June 1943, Major Werner Streib destroyed five RAF bombers in a single sortie — including two de Havilland Mosquitos, previously considered near-impossible to intercept. Despite its outstanding performance, production politics and bureaucratic opposition limited numbers to just 294 aircraft. This vintage Frog 1/72 kit (F177) captures the He 219's distinctive twin-boom design and long radar aerials.
