The Lavochkin La-7 was the finest Soviet piston-engined fighter of World War II, entering service in 1944 and outperforming the Bf 109G and Fw 190A at low and medium altitudes. It was the aircraft of Ivan Kozhedub — the highest-scoring Allied ace of the war with 64 confirmed kills — who flew the La-7 for the majority of his victories. Fast, agile, and ruggedly built to withstand the harsh Eastern Front conditions, the La-7 represented the culmination of the Lavochkin design bureau's wartime development. This vintage Frog 1/72 kit (F404) captures the La-7's clean, powerful lines.
This is a vintage model kit. Box shows signs of age-related storage — see photos. Kit appears complete, but please look at the photos carefully. Instructions and decals are present.
