Frog 1/72 McDonnell Douglas A-4 Skyhawk (F271)

The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a brilliant piece of compact design by Ed Heinemann — so small and light that it came in under half the Navy's specified weight limit. Entering service in 1956, it served as the US Navy's primary light attack aircraft through Vietnam, where it flew more missions than any other carrier type. The A-4 is also famous for its Falklands War service with the Argentine Navy and Air Force, during which it sank HMS Ardent, HMS Coventry, and HMS Antelope. This vintage Frog 1/72 kit (F271) captures the Skyhawk's characteristic delta wing and distinctive "hump" avionics bay.
