The Bedford OXD was the 30cwt (30 hundredweight) four-wheel-drive variant of the Bedford truck family, distinguished from the two-wheel-drive OYD by its 4x4 drivetrain that made it better suited to cross-country use in the Middle East, Italy, and other difficult terrain. Like its stablemates, the OXD was produced in large numbers and served across all theatres with the British Army and Commonwealth forces. This Gecko Models 1/35 kit (35GM0096) captures the GS (General Service) open-cab configuration with accurate Bedford proportions and markings options for multiple units and theatres.
